Sculpture by Scott Amrhein

"Evolutionary" is the term Scott Amrhein uses to describe the many years of producing the ever changing glass at his High Cliff Studio. He combines art glass and architectural design in his development of his sculptures.
What has become his trademark is this oval lumen bowl. The beautiful organic patterns created, are the result of the metallic glaze resisting it's stretch on the glass as optimum temperatures are reached and gravity slowly forms each unique bowl. To compliment the lustrous bowls, Scott has designed and fabricated primitive pedestals from charred wood and patinaed copper. Simplicity of design and absence of primary color is beneficial when displaying this elegant piece of art in various settings. It measures 23 inches by 9 inches.
